#LoveBoston

Love Boston Campaign- New Balance

November Project, Harvard Stadium, Bright and Early

Marathon Monday is quickly approaching and New Balance has launched its new #loveboston campaign (god, I have the best job ever).  Ever since I can remember I have attended the Boston Marathon with my family and friends-- I have always been an avid runner, and racing is my one true love.  Last year I was caught in the midst of the bombing attack less than a mile from the finish line.  I couldn't imagine how someone could turn the city I loved so dearly--the place I was always so happy-- into a nightmare. This year Boston will be coming back in full force, and I can't wait to show that we are Boston Strong.

Take me to the Sea

Ocean House, Westerly, RI

I Crave the Salty Air

Ocean House, Westerly, RI

Momma
There is something about the ocean that just calms me down.  I was lucky enough to spend all four years of my undergrad career at the University of Rhode Island--this meant I lived in Narragansett Bay, steps from the beach for peanuts (especially compared to my Boston rent).  From time to time I get home sick for the ocean.  I crave the smell of the salt air, the ocean breeze, and the sound of the boats entering the harbor.  Don't get me wrong--Boston is my home and has a very special place in my heart-- but is not comparable to the shore line.

So this weekend I was feeling a little homesick and nostalgic for  the good old college days and fresh air.  I decided to pack my bags and headed for the sea.  A few of my friends still reside in the Narragansett and the Newport area, so I planned on over staying my welcome and absorbing as much of the salty goodness as possible.

Sunday afternoon my family even decided to join me at the Ocean House in Westerly, RI for a glass of wine and endless views of the sea.  This was nostalgia at its finest--but I got my ocean fix this weekend and I am counting down the days until I return.
